Some Cubelets ideas

I share with you some cubelets ideas :

– You have a Speaker Cubelet, maybe you can have a Mic Cubelet (microphone) which can transmit the level of sound
– a Wind Cubelet with a ventilator which goes trough the block (it can be a Action/Sensor Module which transmits a value if its rotation is caused by the user, or rotate if it receive data by another sensor Cubelet)
– a Laser Cubelet wich is more accurate than the Flashlight Cubelet (with a non-dangerous for the eye laser obviously)
– a Elevator Cubelet which can “push” one of his faces off with a telescopic arm
– a “Leave Me” Cubelet which can detach himself from the others on one face (or many ?)
– a Camera Cubelet which is triggered above a certain number and the data can be retrieved with the upcoming bluetooth module
– a Hysteresis Cubelet which transform all the data above a certain value on a constant value until it decrease under an other value

– Like Lucas Podneswki says : a Solar Cubelet with one or more solar panels or just face add-ons with solar panels to add to a Battery Cubelet

Great ideas, Benjamin; thanks for sharing. The Laser, Mic, and Elevator (we’re calling it Prismatic) Cubelets are all in active development. I wonder what color a Hysteresis Cubelet should be!

What about a Cublet that rotated along the diagonal. It would mean 2 faces couldn’t connect.

A Fan cublet that blows air based on the value it’s given through input.

I also thought the Mic idea would be a good sensor cublet, and create a mini-theremin-like device using:
1 Speaker -> 1 Distance -> 1 Blocker -> 1 Battery -> 1 Mic -> 1 Speaker
Then wave the hand near the distance, it triggers it’s speaker, the mic picks up the other speaker, and triggers it’s own speaker.

I think that you need a prototype cubelet. one that allows users to drop their own custom boards in. this would open things up so users can use any sensor. it would also take some of the R&D out of new cubelets.

also, a function output cubelet. one that outputs a sweeping signal (possibilities: strobing lights).

maybe a ramping cubelet. one that will take an input and slowly ramp up the output to the input value.

could have a pair of “communication” blocks. where the input to one will be shared to the output of the other. (in the point to point style of series one xbees)

this is still in the development stage… but a delay cube, there a slider on it that will adjust the time between the input and the output

i thought it would be cool as a mic, where if you had a machine like… speaker – battery – delay , it could immitate a pattern or beat maybe

and while i was thinking of a machine like… flashlight – battery – delay , it could almost be like a strobe light if you kept on clapping, although that would be a cool transition cube, possibly also with a slider to adjust how frequent the ‘strobes’ would be, which would negate the power briefly, so you could have, flashlight – strobe – knob – battery, or maybe, speaker – strobe – knob – battery

There should be a tape recorder block which can send messages to the speaker block you talk in the recorder block the speaker keeps reapeating the sound
